Momentous is a nighttime fireworks and projection mapping show that debuted at Hong Kong Disneyland. Unlike its predecessors Disney in the Stars and We Love Mickey!, this show includes projection mapping, lasers, and searchlights, as well as pyrotechnics and water fountains. The performances will take place 4-5 times a week for the first two months of premiere.

The show was originally titled Cherish the Memories and was scheduled to open in Fall 2020, as part of Hong Kong Disneyland's 15th anniversary celebration. However, it was delayed to June 18, 2022, since the opening was postponed following the closure of the park due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Summary[]

As twilight falls over Hong Kong Disneyland, the Castle comes to life in a dazzling Nighttime Spectacular brimming with thrilling special effects, state-of-the-art projection mapping, and timeless Disney memories illuminating the Night sky.

Momentous celebrates moments of hope, laughter, adventure and love - told through the songs and stories of favorite Disney films. Combined with pyrotechnics, fountains, lasers and other surprises, the night culminates with an iconic celebration of the Castle of Magical Dreams!

Each of us lives a lifetime filled with magical moments, shaping us into who we become, and gifting us with what we leave behind. Tonight, we celebrate those moments, inspiring us to live life to the fullest and to cherish every memory. To fully enjoy this performance, the lighting around the castle will dim. For your safety and that of others, please remain where you are until the lighting returns to normal. Our celebration of a lifetime Momentous will begin in just a few minutes. Thank you.



Trivia[]

  • It will feature original animations similar to Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom.
  • The Dr. Facilier sequence is recycled from an unused Villains sequence from World of Color.
  • During the show opening, NWFB release "Rickshaw Sightseeing Bus Day Pass – Hong Kong Disneyland Special Edition" package, the bus is cover theme advertisement only line H1.
